We had a lovely morning at the Mayor, Cllr. Gareth Eales charity service at All Saints Church Northampton today.

Members of the council, Chairmen and Mayors of the district and the Northampton Freemen's Trustees were amongst the guests this morning.

I was delighted to be asked to read a lesson at this special service.

A wonderful £425.00 was raised for Alfie Bear's Journey, thank you to everyone who kindly donated this morning ♥

Alfie Bear's Journey Team had a fantastic weekend at Northampton Town Festival, it was such a well organised event with so much going on.

Thank you to David Bailey for inviting us and kindly having a new banner made up for us as well.

It was lovely to see the Mayor on Saturday and to have the opportunity to raise awareness to a wider audience.

Myyself, Danny and Graham enjoyed visiting everyone at The Brain Tumour Charity office, where we spoke about Alfie's Journey.

While we were there, we was presented with this beautiful certificate. We proudly accepted it on behalf of everyone who has and continues to support Alfie Bear's Journey Fund.

Today we visited the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) in Oxford with The Brain Tumour Charity.

It was great to meet Dr Alex Bullock and learn about the DIPG Research that he and the team at the SGC are currently doing.

Today we attended the Northampton Carnival dressed in Gold to raise awareness of Childhood Cancer. As well as our Super Bear, we had a gold Angel, Warrior and Superheroes to represent all children affected by this devestating disease.

The carnival is such a wonderful occasion and the costumes, music and floats were all amazing.

We were very honoured to have the opportunity to lead the parade with the Mayor and Mayoress.
